Ambrosia Symbiotic Complex
As the Forest Entomologist, I am pondering the mysteries of the bark and ambrosia beetles. My team addresses the most fundamental questions of the symbiotic complex of beetles, fungi and bacteria, as well as the evolution and systematics of the insects. We also study how the tree-killing symbiosis is impacting trees, forests, and people, and help stakeholders and the government tackle the pestiferous and invasive ones.
