Louisiana angle-wing katydid
Microcentrum louisianum

Photograph of dorsal pronotum of male, Obion County, Tennessee, by T. J. Walker, University of Florida.
The many pigmented setal pits (small brown dots) distributed over the entire pronotal disk distinguish this species from the closely related, sympatric M. retinerve. M. retinerve has few such pits and they mostly occur along the pronotal carinae.
