Mole Cricket Nematode Releases 1989-1990

Map shows releases of at least two billion nematodes in each of eight counties (total more than 16 billion) in 1989-1990. Follow-up monitoring at the sites showed that a nematode population was established (large red dots) or was not (small blue dots). Establishment was confirmed in Broward, Clay, Flagler, Hillsborough, Osceola, and Pasco counties, with additional sites for Alachua County. Data are provided in publications about these applications by Parkman et al. Biological Control 3: 226-232 (1993, in pastures) and Environmental Entomology 23: 1331-1337 (1994, on golf courses).
