Fae Nageon de Lestang
Fae is a second-year student studying botany and entomology at the University of Florida. Though she is fascinated by all things science, she is currently interested in evolutionary developmental biology and plant/insect coevolution. In the Miller Lab she is working on an independent project investigating the influence of nutritional environment on the expression of sexually-selected traits and reproductive behaviors.
Christopher W. Maxwell, Jr. (aka "Will")
Will is a second year student at the University of Florida majoring in finance and is on the pre-med track. He first gained experience with biological research with his International Baccalaureate Project involving the topic "Destruction of the Wetlands", specifically examining the effects of various dredging techniques to find which are most effective in preserving the natural environment. With a growing appreciation and curiosity in research, he is interested in Evolutionary Ecology, Medicines in Entomology (including West Nile treatment), and Lung Cancer Treatment and Associated Risks (including smoking, family history, diet, and second hand smoke). In the Miller Lab he is currently working on the role of the environment in sexual selection, testing variable environmental conditions for their effect on cactus bug mating and behavioral patterns.
