Jason just recently completed his M.S. under the supervision of Dr. Ellis and is now beginning his Ph.D. His current research interests include The attraction of Bombus impatiens and Apis mellifera colonies and colony components to Aethina tumida, a pest of the Honey Bee, Apis mellifera, The composition of airborne volatiles from commercial Apis mellifera and Bombus impatiens colonies, and continuing work in isolation and identification of a yeast found in commercial Bombus impatiens colonies and its attraction to Aethina tumida, the Small Hive Beetle.
