3. Administrative Responsibilities
- For the past 10+ years have served as Director of the North
Florida Research and Education Center, Quincy, the North Florida
Research and Education Center, Monticello and the North Florida
Research and Education Center, Marianna; the North Florida Research
and Education Center, Live Oak (4 years--to 1988); the North Florida
Beef Demonstration Unit (4 years--to present).
Research Responsibilities
- Research interests are in integrated pest management, especially
host plant resistance, biological and cultural control. Prior
to entering administration, spent 10 years in conducting research
on management of soybean insect pests.
4. Accomplishments
- Responsible for the reorganization/consolidation of 5 units
into the North Florida Research and Education Center, the only
regional research center in North Florida.Initiated dialogue that
resulted in administrative reassignment of extension faculty in
unit in which they are housed.
