3. Extension Responsibilities
- Making grove visits at request of production managers, extension
citrus specialists, and agribusiness representatives.Serving as
resource person for extension programs.
Research Responsibilities
- Research on arthropod pests of citrus.Evaluate insecticides,
miticides and biorationals.Primary pests are citrus rust mite
and citrus root weevils with current emphasis on chemical and
biological control of citrus leafminer.
4. Accomplishments
- Conducted greenhouse and field research that established efficacy
of entomopathogenic nematodes for control of the citrus weevils
Diaprepes and Pachnaeus and of Imidacloprid
for citrus leafminer and other arthropod pests of citrus.
