The African Honey Bee Extension & Education Program (AFBEE) is an extension and education cooperation between the University of Florida and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Division of Plant Industry geared toward producing and distributing information about the African honey bee in Florida. We appreciate your patience as the site is being frequently updated.

2013 Bee College to host AFBEE training

Dr. Bill Kern will teach African Bee training for pest control operators - part 1 of a 2-part certification course on working with Africanized honey bees.

Also, FABIS training will be offered for those interested. FABIS is the current method of detecting levels of Africanization in wild honey bee colonies by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
